Danialand's current English FAQ publishes only a Ramadan window, not a clear regular 2026 daily schedule. Contact the operator before travelling, especially for a late return.

Best for first-time visitors who want the aerial view and a simple link to the upper station. The regional tourism site says cabins are adapted for wheelchairs and strollers.
Taxi or car
Useful when the cable car is closed, a group wants flexibility or someone prefers not to ride. The Kasbah site lists parking; verify access controls and pickup position.
Bus or shuttle
The official Kasbah site lists both. Timetables can change, so ask the ticket office or accommodation for the current stop and return schedule.
Pedestrian trail
The official history page describes a 2.8 km hiking trail. Attempt it only with appropriate shoes, water and weather; midday heat and slope make it unsuitable for many casual visitors.
Accessibility: an adapted cabin does not prove that every surface, queue and heritage path is step-free. Contact Danialand and Agadir Oufella separately with the exact mobility requirement.
More than a viewpoint
Why Agadir Oufella is a place of memory
Agadir Oufella is a 16th-century fortress site that once held a community shaped by Muslim and Jewish traditions, trade and local spiritual life. The earthquake of 29 February 1960 struck at 11:41 pm and destroyed the old city; victims remain buried within the hilltop site.
The reconstructed visitor route uses elevated decking laid without excavation, following former streets while protecting the resting place below. The official code of conduct asks visitors to remain on the route, keep noise down, dress appropriately, respect spaces of prayer and reflection, avoid restricted areas and use official services rather than unlicensed guides or sellers.
Keep the visit quiet
This is not merely an Instagram backdrop. Lower voices, follow staff directions and give reflective spaces the behaviour they deserve.
Stay on the decking
The raised path protects heritage and human remains below. Do not cross barriers or leave the marked visitor route for a photograph.
Use official services
Buy admission, audioguides and tours at the ticket office or official site. The code of conduct warns against unlicensed sellers and guides.

Use the archaeological and historical interpretation to understand what the city lost and how modern Agadir was rebuilt.

- Ride toward Oufella
Look south across the Marina, port, Corniche and bay; save the longer photographs for the upper viewpoint.

- Follow the interior route
Move slowly along the decking, read the interpretation and respect prayer and memorial spaces.
- Use the panorama
Identify the fishing port, Marina, beach arc and rebuilt city rather than treating the view as anonymous scenery.
- Return before the last cabin
Do not wait for closing time to discover that the cable-car return schedule differs from the Kasbah.
The sunset trap
Late afternoon is beautiful—but sunset is not guaranteed
Late-afternoon light is usually softer and the bay is easier to read. But sunset time, Kasbah admission and the last cable-car return are three separate clocks. In mid-summer, sunset can occur after the interior's published 8:00 pm closing time. Wind or operational decisions can also affect the cable car.

Arrive more than 30 minutes before closing; a last-minute entry would not allow a meaningful visit anyway.

Ask at the lower station and keep the answer. Never infer the return time from the Kasbah's closing time.
